Book: Artemis Fowl – The Arctic Incident

Artemis Fowl The Artic Incident

Each book in this series just keeps getting more interesting. The characters continue to grow on you and we see a new side of Artemis in this book. It delves into his innermost desires and causes us to realize that he is still a growing boy. Despite his criminal enterprises and his genius, this is a boy who has lost his father and would go to great lengths to get him back.

Of course, there wouldn’t be much excitement if there wasn’t something going on underground. A traitorous plot is afoot and the adrenaline really starts pumping early into the book. We also a get to glimpse at Artemis and his conscience. It’s a rare glimpse, but a welcome one. There’s a good of character development going on behind all the action. Really good, solid development. It’s small and sometimes the bigger events do overshadow it, but it’s consistent, well planned and well paced.

I am really looking forward to reading the rest of this series. The books are hard to put down and are really satisfying.
