Tastings: A Series of Unfortunate Events – The Ersatz Elevator

Well, it would seem that since i’m a home sick today, it’d be a good time for me to catch up with all these posts that I’m sitting on. So without further ado, Book 6 of 13 in the series:

The Baudelaires tossed and turned, and wondered about all these things, and as it grew later and later they felt less and less like logs and more and more like children in a sinister and mysterious plot, spending one of he least somniferous nights of their young lives.

One of the greatest myths in the world – and the phrase “greatest myths” is just a fancy way of saying “big fat lies” – is that troublesome things get less and less troublesome if you do them more and more.

What I love about this series is the use of bombastic words that aren’t usually seen in the English language. And the “definition” they have for the words, are always accurate yet witty, which makes learning that much more fun.
