Book: Artemis Fowl and the Time Paradox

Remember the last book where there was a dabbling of time travel? Well, this books expounds on that and introduced young readers to the difficult concept of paradox. It’s something that requires a good deal of logic and equal amount of creativity. It’s mind boggling, but really well done and makes for a very interesting read.

Artemis Fowl and the Time Paradox

What I loved especially about this book was how Artemis was able to take stock of how much he had changed for the better over the course of the series. This time travel where he got to see who he was when he first started out, the heartless conniving little brat. It allows him to judge his past actions and see for himself what he was willing to do to get what he wanted. I think that it was really special and I enjoyed every moment of the ride. The paradox was really executed (to a large extent), I’m sure there’s a loophole somewhere, but I’m not going to over-think it.

At the end of the book, there’s a short story, detailing how Holly managed to get into LEPrecon. Personally, I think it serves as a prelude to the next book and also brings back the fun times we had with Commander Root. However, it is a good read and just goes to show that Holly has and always will be a brilliant Recon captain.

The entire book is thicker than the other books, but was equally entertaining and enjoyable to read.
