Anime: Dantalian no Shoka: Ibarahime
An OVA episode containing a standalone episode of Dantalian no Shoka.
If you liked Dantalian no Shoka the first time, then there’s no reason why you wouldn’t like this OVA. It’s more of the same with Dalian and Hugh on a quest to recover a phantom book. The storyline of this particular OVA is actually pretty good and keeps the audience engaged. The mystery aspect is done well, but as usual the characters aren’t very original.
I wouldn’t say this OVA adds to the series, but it doesn’t disappoint either. This actually surprised me, considering that I wasn’t very impressed with the series. This OVA actually made me reconsider my opinion of the main series, something that OVAs don’t usually tend to do. It’s definitely worth the 25 minutes and even if you haven’t watched the series, this OVA is a decent one of watch.
